Theater Tech Teacher
Theater Tech Teacher
my info
I am a worker and a teacher for Stage Technicians. In 2015 I retired from full time work. I have taught Band for 38 years and Theater technology for 19 years. I have had the pleasure of developing theater technical classes that grew to from for or 5 students to programs of 50 students. Currently, I and picked up an after school program in Wheaton Illinois. There I worked at renovating a tech program of 6 students, and a theater environment that had had no technical upgrade since 1996. I helped them get upgraded and now have 25 students participating in the program.
As a result of retiring I also enjoy wintering in Florida. I am available to work in the theater technical field, to assist the any school, church, theme park, theater, or other performance venue, with covering absences etc for their full time staff. Helping upgrade programs or equipment, teaching the safe practices of theater technology.
Attached you will find my resume for your review. As it indicates, my background combines successful experience in areas of technical theater, music education, and departmental operations, with a high level of production, and program organization. My efforts have resulted in improved interdepartmental relations, and communication between students, parents, and faculty, program expansion, and improved quality of event performances.
